Composite Performance
DSM claims compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) for the DSM Large-Cap Growth composite and has prepared and presented it in compliance with GIPS standards. However, the DSM Large-Cap Growth composite has not been independently verified. DSM primarily manages equities in a model portfolio method and therefore presents a single Large-Cap Growth composite return for managed accounts containing equities and residual cash. In general, the Large-Cap Growth composite will invest in domestic equity securities of large capitalization companies. Equity securities include common stocks, preferred stocks, securities convertible into common stocks, rights and warrants. Shares of foreign companies that primarily trade on a U.S. exchange or over-the-counter market and shares of dually-registered companies (e.g., U.S. and Canada) that trade on a U.S. exchange or over-the-counter market are considered domestic equity securities. A large capitalization company is one that has a market capitalization of more than U.S. $10 billion at the time of purchase. The Large-Cap Growth composite may also invest in equity securities of companies that have a market capitalization below U.S. $10 billion. The Large-Cap Growth composite may also invest in equity securities of foreign companies. The Large-Cap Growth composite generally will contain 25-35 equity securities. There are other published and unpublished composites. Composite performance is presented gross and net of investment advisory fees (custody fees are not deducted). DSM’s standard advisory fees are described in Part 2 of its Form ADV. Composite results are asset weighted and expressed in U.S. dollars. Account performance is calculated using a time weighted methodology. Returns are historical and past performance is no guarantee of future results and individual client results will vary.
